Happy Birthday! (AND A FREEBIE!!!)

Welcome to blog train stop #39...

I can hardly believe it, but ScrapMatters is celebrating it's 1st birthday! We've got some big events planned! It's party time!

We are having a HUGE STOREWIDE SALE - a free MEGA collab kit (w/$10 purchase) - a Daily Download - GRAB BAGS....

Oh wait grab bags.... I've got a brand new one in the shop right now and I am so excited!! I can't believe how much stuff I've crammed into this bag. There are 5 brand new products - available for 3 days only (9/26 - 9/28) for just $3.00!!!

Now, I can't tell you what's in the bag, but I can show you some of the things my CT & the SM CT did with them... well some of them - I didn't even give them all to them just yet!

First up is from Katie - she used the grab bag goodies & Baggin' It Alpha (you can get the alpha free here...)

Stacy - used the Grab Bag, Inky Brushes, Little Word Paper Tags, Flowers are from Taylor, and the Leaves are from Wrapped in Autumn by Designs by Tater

Christy's Grab Bag LO also uses a clip & flowers from Wild...
Kim used the Grab Bag, the clips, strings & flower are from Fairchild and the frames are from Just Frame Crazy both by Britt-ish Designs...

Denise used the Grab Bag, and some recolored flowers from Wild...

Sharon's LO has more grab bag goodness in it plus some elements (tree, ribbon, flowers) from Hoo's Ready for Fall by Simply Sweet Designs

Mary used some leaves & buttons from Wild to mix up with this grab bag...

And Christine used Little Word Paper Tags, Flowers are from Taylor...

Stefanie made this LO using the grab bag - papers & elements from Fall Splendor by Haynay and Date strip by Britt

My gosh - we designers at SM are so lucky to have such an amazing CT!! Thank you ladies these LO's ROCK!!

Now, does anyone have any ideas as to what some things might be in that grab bag, LOL!

OK now - I did mention a freebie a bit ago... thanks for hanging with me :-) ... Part of our SM celebration is a Birthday Blog Train. We've got a huge Birthday Mega Kit that we are giving away with every $10 purchase in our shop. And, the whole team - admin, designers & CT have made up some fun Brag Book pages for you! In-case you came right to my blog, here's the link to the stop before mine on the train. Please remember that we are from all over the world, and a few stops may be posted a bit later than others. ..

Now, before I give you my brag book page (my goodness this is a LONG post!) I've got to tell you about one of my families birthday traditions. Honestly, my families traditions are nothing out of the ordinary. My whole family gets together, both of my sisters & their SO's, my parents , DH, me & our 2 DD's. The birthday girl (or boy) gets to choose what they want for dinner. When we were growing up, we always picked to have mom make our favorite dishes, I usually picked pasta with homemade sauce. But, as we've gotten older, we usually pick our favorite restaurant.

For DD1's last B-day, she chose "the boodie" restaurant. It took us a while to figure out that that meant the chinese restaurant with the big Budha statue! Now, the DH's & SO's in our family have figured out that if they choose to have their meals made at home, they can usually get some more lavish dishes (aren't they clever...) . For my DH's last B-day, he convinced my mom to make mac & cheese (the good kind - not from a box..) crab legs and her famous ribs. This of course required her to take a day off from work so that the ribs could slow cook all day long - isn't he a spoiled boy!!! I don't think she'd have done that for any of her own kids!

After dinner, we have cake & open presents - we usually try to make it a pretty laid back day.

OK - now that I've really gone on and on... here's your freebie - Enjoy!
