Most Magical Winner Announced!

Just popping in really quick to announce the winner of my $10 GC to my shop...

The lucky winner is Nikki O ! Thanks everyone for playing along & all of the sweet comments - Nikki - your GC is on it's way!

On Friday I needed a little scrap therapy! I actually scrapped 3 LO's, but I can't show you 2 of them yet! But I can show you this. There is this really fun & easy hybrid challenge this month at SM - called Dazzeling Decor. Kim (a hybrid goddess) has created a fun template to make luminaries using vellum paper (or even thin printer paper). The very same day I saw that challenge, I saw this fabulous new kit from Ro (aka Man in the Moon Designs) and decided that I MUST make some of the luminaries with the kit.

Isn't this kit fun???? - Check out that witch - isn't she fun?

I had SO much fun with the kit that after I made the luminaries - I decided to scrap about it too! The hybrid project was SO quick & easy - you should totally try it out! It only took me about 10 minutes to do all of it (well I had a break in between - my ink took forever to dry, LOL!). The photos stink, but the project is really cute - I've already had 3 people ask me to make some for them!

It's actually pretty funny that I even made them at all. DH does not allow me to decorate for Halloween - because I love all the cute & pretty things and he says - HALLOWEEN is NOT CUTE - IT'S SCARY! So he decorates our front lawn like a graveyard and plays spooky music. He's toned it down a bit since the girls got big enough to understand it all. It tends to scare away the little ones though. I actually am not a big fan of halloween - and I totally blame him! He scares away all the cute little kids and only the big kids - you know - the ones that really shouldn't be trick-or-treating anymore - still come to the house. Most of them are not in costume and rarely say thanks. I think that is so rude! But I do like everything else about the day - up until the rude big kids come around, LOL!

Last year I had so much fun because we threw our first kids halloween party. The girls each got to invite 2 friends and we bobbed for apples, played games, did a craft and decorated cupcakes. THAT was fun. This year one of our neighbors decided to do the party (she beat me to it!) so that should be fun too.

OK peeps - it's late and I'm rambling now. Have a great night!
